A Message From The HEY, RITZVILLE! Creator

True story: When my family and I moved to Ritzville last year my mother called one day and asked “When I come visit I want to buy some local wheat, some raw milk and some honey. Where do they sell that in Ritzville?” to which I could only reply “I don’t know. But I will keep a look out for those things”. Although we have figured out where some shops and specialty goods are sold, I still have only visited the tip of the iceberg of what Ritzville and its surrounding towns have to offer.

In our time living here we have found that some locations are only listed on Google, some only listed on Facebook, and some you just have to be local to know about. Neighbors have recommended community events (sometimes beforehand, sometimes after they have taken place) and it amazed me that there are so many great things happening in our small towns – the key is knowing how to be in the loop to be a part of them.

And thus, Hey, Ritzville was born. An online bulletin board for us small town folk to always be in the know of the where and what is happening nearby or in our neighboring towns. A place where you can find the nearest Dentist or corner Lemonade stand. Where you can post your towns Commercial Bank or your teenagers first startup lawn-mowing business. All are welcome! If it is happening in your town, your neighbors want to know about it.

This is a brand new website and I am sure there will be plenty learning curves, broken buttons, display issues, things not working the way they should, etc; but hopefully we can learn and grow together and turn this into something great.
